Algeria is 85% desert. The name &#8216;Al Jaza&#8217;ir&#8217; refers to the cities and oases, which lie like islands in the desert sea. The desert in Algeria has the most diverse forms; from vast, meter-high sand dunes, to imposing rock formations and endless plains of sand &amp; rocks. Huge camel caravans regularly cross the desert towards the south. Unfortunately, Algeria is also a country where danger lurks, there is no denying that. Yet Algeria is more than that.
