\n Tonl\u00e9 Sap<\/strong> Lake is constantly changing in size and depth. During the rainy season (June-October), the Mekong<\/strong> River swells to such an extent that part of the water mass flows into the lake via the Tonl\u00e9 Sap River. The water surface will be four to five times as large, making the lake temporarily the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. In the dry season (November-May) the water flows away again, the direction of the Tonl\u00e9 Sap River then reverses. The activities on and around the lake change with the cycle of the water.
