Adrar<\/strong> is the most visited area of Mauritania<\/strong><\/a>. Not only for the vast beauty of the Sahara Desert, with its dune ranges and plateaus of altitude, but also for its impressive oases. The well-known Terjit oasis nestles in a gorge on the western edge of the Adrar. A medicinal spring and, with Terjit, many other springs, surrounded by exuberant vegetation, provide a magical image in the desert landscape.
