Traditional riverboat of Kalimantan<\/h2>\n

The Rahai’i Pangun is a traditional riverboat, still used today on the many rivers of Kalimantan <\/strong>(the Indonesian part of Borneo<\/strong>) as the “bis air,” the river bus. The 22-meter-long ship has been specially converted by local craftsmen into a beautiful luxury cruise boat, providing the finest orangutan cruises along the Rungan and Katingan rivers in southern Kalimantan. The Rahai’i Pangun has 4 newly renovated cabins; the upper deck is spacious and comfortable with couches and deck chairs. On the deck you can enjoy the passing scenery, excellent service and great food.<\/p>\n

The boat Rahai’i Pangun is run by WOW Borneo<\/strong>, a social enterprise with a strong focus on recruiting, training and supporting local people and nurturing the local community and environment. Also, WOW works closely with BOS (Borneo Orangutan Survival) Foundation.<\/p>\n
