No fences. No bridges or airstrips. And no permanent lodges. The rugged landscape consists of rivers with rocky banks, mopane forests, vast plains, lagoons and marshes. The huge diversity of flora and fauna is extraordinary, but<strong>Gonarezhou National Park<\/strong> \u00a0 is still best known for its<strong>Chilojo Cliffs<\/strong>, beautiful red sandstone cliffs that have been formed over the centuries by erosion and overlook a vast valley and the Runde River.<\/p>\n<p>The name \u00a0 means &#8220;place of many elephants&#8221;, and although here do not live as large herds as in<strong>Hwange N.P.<\/strong> \u00a0 they are well represented. In the northeast of the park, where the<strong>Save River<\/strong> \u00a0 And<strong>Runde River<\/strong> \u00a0 naturally formed oases. These oases attract hundreds of species of birds, wild animals and fish. In addition, there are many reptiles here, including crocodiles. Special inhabitants are the rare nyala antelope, the Suni and blue diver. In the Chipinda area there is game all year round such as lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, wild dog and zebra.<\/p>\n<p>Gonarezhou is one of Zimbabwe&#8217;s least visited national parks. The park \u00a0 is adjacent to the famous Kruger National <strong>Park<\/strong> in South Africa and the <strong>Limpopo National Park<\/strong> in Mozambique.
