The village of Whistler<\/strong> is located at the foot of two alpine giants: Whistler mountain<\/strong> and Blackcomb mountain.<\/strong> Over 1,500 meters they rise above Whistler, menacing and inviting at the same time. The place gets its name from the whistling sound of marmots, who live at higher altitudes. Who knew Whistler before the 2010 Winter Olympics? In a short time the village grew into a well-equipped base for winter sports and for numerous summer activities. You will cover the 4.4 kilometres between the two peaks in a gondola that offers unse free views all around.
