In the reservoir which is one of the largest lakes in Sri Lanka, there are several small unspoiled islands. Gal Oya National Park is a true paradise for bird lovers. Around the lake there are many tropical waterfowl. The park you can explore by jeep, also it is possible to make a beautiful <strong>boat safari <\/strong>along the islands in the reservoir. Who knows, you might encounter a group of elephants along the shores of the lake or you&#8217;ll see elephants swimming from island to island in search of food. Near the national park live the <strong>vedda&#8217;s,<\/strong>an indigenous tribe in Sri Lanka. Take an inspiring walk with these locals and learn about the traditions of today, but also from the past.
