\n Safari lodge in the Kalahari<\/h2>\n

\n\tBagatelle Kalahari Game Lodge,<\/strong>situated amid high red sand dunes at the beginning of the Kalahari Desert, is an old farmhouse that has been converted and upgraded into a luxury property. Four wooden chalets on stilts with unbeatable views are built on top of a red sand dune. The six “hay bale” chalets with thick walls of straw are located in the valley between the dunes. Take a seat in the hammock and enjoy the sun that drops red behind the distant dunes.<\/p>\n

\n Activities in the desert<\/h2>\n

\n With a guide, hike through the desert or take a safari with a 4×4 vehicle. From the viewing platform, armed with binoculars, gemsboks and springbok at the well or after the first rain, armed with a camera, photograph the beautiful landscape full of colors and scents. During the warm afternoon take a refreshing dip in the pool or relax in the hammock with a good book and silence, interrupted only by the chirping of birds.   Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be enjoyed on the porch or under the stars in the wicker lapa. In the bar there is a wide choice of South African wines, whiskies, cognacs and liqueurs. At Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch you will find a warm welcome, delicious food and fantastic scenery. It’s an excellent stop for a night or two on your trip south or the Fish River Canyon.<\/strong><\/p>\n
