Wildflowers protrude from the foliage, there are monkeys and toucs and small waterfalls. Finally, the river flows into the Caribbean near Livingston. Livingston is known for its special mix of Gar\u00edfuna, Afro-Caribbean, Maya and Ladino people and culture. Only accessible by water, Livingston is also called Buga &#8211; which means mouth in Gar\u00edfuna &#8211; due to its location at the mouth of the river.
