On the edge of this lies <strong>San Pedro de Atacama.<\/strong> The pleasant oasis town, with its dusty streets, its typical cottages and its historic church, resembles the backdrop of a western.<br \/>\nSan Pedro is surrounded by the most fantastic landscapes: the dazzling Salar de Atacama, a large salt lake with flamingos; the Valle de La Luna, a lunar landscape with bizarre rock formations and the surreal lakes Miscanti and Mi\u00f1iques.
