The immense waterfalls lie in the northeastern tip of <strong>Argentina <\/strong>on the border with <strong>Brazil <\/strong>and Paraguay. Depending on the amount of water flowing through the Igua\u00e7u River, the number of waterfalls is 270 to 300. The most famous waterfall is the <em>Garganta del Diablo<\/em> or the &#8216;throat of the devil&#8217;, a large semicircular waterfall where the water plunges far into the depths. On the Brazilian side, you have a good overall overview. The Argentinian side offers the best vantage points over the waterfalls and surrounding flora.
