The island is so special that it was once thought that this was the real Garden of Eden. The many palm trees explain why Praslin used to be called Palm Island. In the<strong> Vall\u00e9e de Mai<\/strong> national park you will find a species of palm that does not grow anywhere else in the world: the Coco-de-Mer with its sensual fruits similar to a female basin. They have become the symbol of the island. This <strong>unesco <\/strong>world heritage site has other rare inhabitants:<strong> black parrots.<\/strong> The park is the dream of every hiker and nature lover.
