In the lake there are numerous islands, several of which are inhabited. By boat you can make the crossing to one of the islands and stay here for a few days relaxing. Walks and boat trips by wooden canoe are among the possibilities.<\/p>\n<h4>Lake Mburo National Park<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Lake Mburo N.P.i<\/strong>s an ecological offshoot of the savannahs in southwestern Kenya and northeastern Tanzania. Central to the park is a large lake, surrounded by wetlands and savannahs. In clear weather it is possible to see the <strong>Virunga<\/strong> volcanoes, where Diane Fossey researched the mountain gorillas. Lake Mburo is one of the few wildlife parks in Uganda where you can take walking safaris.
