The highest peaks of the Rwenzori&#8217;s are permanently covered with snow. Along with Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya, these are the only mountains in Africa that have permanent snow tops. The mountain range, also called Mountains of the Moon, is a <strong>UNESCO<\/strong> World Heritage Site and offers a wonderful world of mountain lakes, waterfalls, glaciers and a special flora. The highest mountain is <strong>Mount Stanley,<\/strong> which consists of several peaks. The highest peak is the Margaritha Peak. After <strong>Kilimanjaro<\/strong> and <strong>Mt. Kenya<\/strong> the highest mountain in Africa. If you have an excellent condition, it is possible to make a heavy, multi-day trek along the peaks of the Rwenzori.
