The old city centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Baroque architecture. It is a city full of pomp and circumstance. The many Baroque churches were built in the time when a lot of gold was found in this mining town. Also visit nearby Mariana, also a former &#8216;gold city&#8217;.
