The city is protected by a large Christ statue on the surrounding hills, a plateau called <strong>Humpata.<\/strong> The Christ statue is a replica of the statue near Rio de Janeiro. In Lubango you will find many colonial buildings, pleasant bars and restaurants as a legacy of the Portuguese period. Visit the spectacular <b>Gorge Tunda \u00a0 Vala<\/b>or the <strong>Christ statue<\/strong> where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the city.<\/p>\n<p>Lubango is also the ideal base for visiting the various tribes in southwestern <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.untamedtravelling.com\/en\/africa\/angola\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Angola.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Muila,<\/strong> <strong>Handa<\/strong> and <strong>Khoisan<\/strong>live near Lubango.
