In <span class=\"Apple-style-span\">2006 <\/span>the historic centre of the city was declared an <strong><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">UNE<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">SCO <\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">World Heritage Site<\/span><\/strong>. Due to the walled city centre, the city has a different atmosphere than other cities in \u00a0 Ethiopia. Narrow streets, dozens of mosques, coffee shops and colourful shops define the streetscape.<\/p>\n<p>The main attraction of Harar, however, is not the city, but the <strong>hyena-man.<\/strong> This man carries the spotted hyenas out of the area every night.
