It is suspected that the Pantanal has the highest concentrated flora and fauna ecosystem in the world! The diversity is enormous; 3500 plant species, more than 650 bird species (including the endangered blue hyacinth parrot), 400 species of fish, about 100 species of mammals and 80 species of reptiles. There are a number of endangered species in the Pantanal, including jaguar, caiman, mane wolf, giant otter, capybara and lowland tpir. The Pantanal is regularly compared to the best game safaris in Africa. A visit to this marshland should not be missed during your trip through Brazil!<\/p>\n<p>\n A distinction is made between the North and South Pantanal. On the north side (from Cuiaba) you have a good chance of spotting the jaguar; The Jaguar Boat House also sails through this area.
